Comprehensive Rodent Metabolic Phenotyping Core

Overview of Services

The Comprehensive Rodent Metabolic Phenotyping Core (CRMPC) provides comprehensive assessments of energy balance in rodents (mice and rats). The CRMPC offers the following services: 1) Multiplexed metabolic phenotyping (16 cage Promethion; Sable Systems International) 2) rapid non-invasive body composition analysis and biopsy tissue composition via time-domain nuclear magnetic resonance (Bruker Biospin LF110) 3) bomb calorimetry measurements of caloric density of biological samples (feces and urine; 10-200mg) (6725 semi-micro calorimeter; Parr Instruments) 4) Technical assistance in experimental design, data analysis/statistics and IACUC protocols
