Overview of Services
The Oxford Instruments Center for Advanced Microscopy - Electron Microscopy Core (formerly High Resolution Imaging Core (HRIC)) at the Medical College of Wisconsin is an institutionally available research service unit managed on behalf of the Medical College by the Department of Cell Biology, Neurobiology and Anatomy. OCAM-EM encompasses both Light and Electron Microscopy services and is located on the 4th floor of the Macc Fund building. OCAM-EM is open to all Medical College of Wisconsin faculty, staff, and students; investigators at affiliated institutions and other non-MCW investigators.
EM Services include:
The Electron Microscopy Facility provides service, consultation for research and some training for projects requiring transmission electron microscopy. The Facility operates on a fee-for-service basis.

OCAM relies primarily on a teach and train model offering the following for the microscopes located within the core.

- Microscope demo sessions
- Full training sessions to become independent users
- Guided use sessions

- Andor BC43 with live cell chamber
Advanced Microscopes:
- Andor Dragonfly 502 spinning disk with Mosaic system for photostimulation
- Andor Dragonfly 620 SR spinning disk microscope with STORM / TIRF capabilities
- Nikon N-SIM structured illumination microscope
- Abberior Facility Line STED microscope
Image Analysis:
- Imaris for Cores 3D Image Analysis
