Electron Microscopy Facility

Overview of Services

The Electron Microscopy Core Facility at the Medical College of Wisconsin is an interdepartmental research service unit managed on behalf of the Medical College by the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and the Department of Cell Biology, Neurobiology and Anatomy. The facility provides service, consultation for research and some training for projects requiring transmission electron microscopy. The Facility operates on a fee-for-service basis and is open to all Medical College of Wisconsin faculty, staff, and students; investigators at affiliated institutions and other non-MCW investigators.

Services include:

  • Complete tissue processing facilities
  • Immunoelectron microscopy
  • Negative staining
  • Enzyme cytochemistry
  • Ultrastructural Electron Tomography
